Dark Knight
Author: Sa'eela
Filed in: love, slave, mystery, contract'twas a dark night
when i met you
my dark knight.
ye came to me stealthily
hiding in shadows
keeping secrets
aye, ye were full of mystery, and yet...
hauntingly familiar was your voice
as if from a vision, it compelled me
to seek ye out
to answer your summons
what choice had i?
ye were mine and i yours already.
but the agreement which bound us
had not been strong enough
to still my ache for freedom
i didna give ye the chance
to promise me the moon and stars
as men often do
i fled, not knowing ye were following.
but close on my heels ye were
and for months
ye missed me, again and again.
but now, ye have me captive --
i cannot escape
although there are no chains
the bonds that hold me to ye
are greater than any rope or chains
our souls entwined
our hearts beating as one
nay, i'll not run now
but stay wrapped in the warmth of your love
secure in your arms
a safe haven is your heart.
